And a word to the British college students who inspired the article... Its called SPELL CHECK. Use it.Playwright George Bernard Shaw was fond of pointing out that the word "ghoti" could just as well be pronounced "fish" if you followed common pronunciation: 'gh' as in "tough," 'o' as in "women" and 'ti' as in "nation."
And he was a playright.
Ahhhh that's horrible!! I can't stand misspelling words and for a professor to suggest that it should be acceptable?! Ridiculous!
